Apartments

We found an apartment. While I was in Ohio Marty faxed the application to them and everything is just waiting for us to come down and sign the lease. We are heading down in the next week or so. Just waiting on the flight information.

It is a huge relief to have everything done. When we first moved to Michigan we had a hard time getting anyone to rent to us because we were from out of state. The jerk landlord we had in Detroit was the only one who would even return a phone call. That is just crazy to me, really. What the hell does being from out of state have to do with anything? The one apartment complex we applied at (and were accepted at) later called and said they couldn't accept us told us that their corporate headquarters said that being from out of state with no ties here meant that we could pick up and move at any time. Riiight. Like people from Michigan don't do that. Whatever.

Anyway, I have no idea what the place looks like, but it comes highly recommended. In fact, we have been told by more than one person that this complex and the one right next to it are "the nicest in town." We will see.

What I know is that it is a 3 bed/2 bath on the second floor. Pool, lake, 1210 sq ft., dishwasher, a/c, clubhouse, fitness room... normal apartment stuff.
